Application support technician

Role :

Reporting to the Support and Quality Assurance Team Leader, the desired candidate will operate within a team dedicated to supporting in-store applications used  across all business entities, as well as training the stores on new applications.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Review and resolve incoming support tickets on is-store applications across all banners: Point of Sale, Appointment Booking, Inventory
  • Provide regular updates on opened tickets with users, and escalate issues as necessary
  • Perform configurations of in-store applications
  • Draft and update documentation on new and existing application features
  • Write training and user manuals for ins-tore applications
  • Train users on in-store applications
  • Actively participate in the implementation of all new in-store applications
  • Produce and validate test transactions for different projects

Requirements :

  • Experience with the Retail industry and application support (Point of Sale, Appointment Booking, Inventory )
  • Customer service oriented. Provide a high level customer service
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in application support and customer service, or in the use of in-store applications
  • Good knowledge of Windows and experienced in technical support
  • Versatility, ability to adapt to new technology and changes Ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time.• Ability to work under pressure and experience in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong learning and problem-solving skills• Great ability to work in a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mobile and open to working outside the office during implementation
  • Functional bilingualism (English, French) both orally and in writing

Working conditions :

  • Permanent full-time position on a weekly basis of 40 hours teleworking and at Head Office as required
  • Day job, Monday to Friday
  • Rotating evening and weekend shift (remote)
