Business analyst (I.T)

Role

The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for technology/process solutions analysis and implementation as well as the coordination of integration of newly acquired business units. The BA is able to take an unstructured business problem and produce, in collaboration with its business partner, recommendations along with a plan of action which could include an organizational change, a process change, modifications to or implementation of new technology, or a combination of all.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentation to formally initiate a project & monitor project development
  • Act as a liaison between the end users, the business SMEs, and the IT and development team
  • Collect, clarify, document, and keep business requirements up-to-data
  • Understand processes and determine gaps and inconsistencies
  • Review/prioritize business requirements and generates project specifications
  • Ensures end-users buy in and sign off on specifications
  • Review specifications with IT project team and support development as required
  • Analyze, plan, and implement system integrations of newly acquire business units
  • Perform/manage testing, integration and approval of system modifications (internal or external)
  • Prepare and/or coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Prepare training documentation and perform training as required
  • Participate in 3rd party software selection process

Requirements

  • MInimum 5 years’ experience as a business analyst in a fast paced business environment
  • Extensive experience analysing complex business processes and developing requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Experience in omni-channel retail environment is an asset
  • Experience with eCommerce projects implementation is an asset
  • Experience with query language, reporting tools and/or a background in programming is an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset
  • Organized with proven ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
  • Eager and determined to get to the bottom of issues and find proper solution
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and detail oriented
  • Bilingual is required (English/French)

 

Working Conditions

  • Permanent full time position (40 hours/week). Hybrid remote work and as required in office in Ville St-Laurent, QC

  • Occasional travel : Very limited to our Quebec City office (depending on projects and pandemic situation)
