Accountant Technician

ROLE 

Reporting directly to the Sales Audit Team Lead

 

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the team in the smooth operation of the department by:
  • Bank reconciliation for different banners
  • Reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts -3rd Party payments
  • Sales Audit functions for Small banners (Balancing Credit cards)
  • Month end functions-Reports to Operations-Accrual entries and analysis
  • Assist store in inventory counts-Set up and monitoring
  • Review DC inventory movements and transactions
  • Perform other ad hoc work

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • College diploma in accounting or more
  • Experience in accounting an asset
  • Self-learner and solution finder
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (Pivots, vlookup, etc.)
  • Bilingual – French and English spoken and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team oriented
  • Organized
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work
  • Knowledge of Great Plains an asset
